Fig. 1Questions on file · answered plainly

The questions people actually ask.

Straight answers, including the ones that are “not yet.” If yours is not on file, the address at the bottom reaches a person.

01What does it cost?

$149 a month. One plan. No tiers, no setup fee, no contract lock-in — it is a monthly subscription. That covers the whole machine: the intake conversation, the competitive read of your market, the scripts, the guided filming, the editing, the publishing, and the booking flow.

Ad spend is separate and is never part of the $149 — see question 06.

02How does the free trial work?

Seven days, free. You do put a card in up front — that is how the trial rolls into the plan if you stay. The first charge lands on day 7, and you can cancel any time before then.

03Are the ads AI-generated video?

No. The ads are cut from real footage of you, filmed on your own phone with a guided teleprompter — one line at a time, at your pace. No avatars, no stock actors, no voice clones, no generated faces. The machine writes, edits, and runs; the person on screen is genuinely you, because your face is the whole point.

04Where do the scripts come from?

Two places. First, a real voice conversation — about twenty minutes of the machine asking you questions out loud and pushing back until it has facts instead of slogans. Second, a competitive analysis of the actual ads running in your market, so the scripts aim at what nobody else in your area is saying. Every script is built from your own sentences.

05Whose ad account do the ads run on?

Yours. The ads publish to your own Meta ad account, on your own page. You keep ownership of the account, the audience data, and everything the campaigns build up. If you ever leave, all of it stays with you.

06Do you touch my ad spend?

Never. Ad spend is paid by you, directly to Meta, from your own account. MeMachine does not hold it, route it, or mark it up. You set the budget and can see every dollar in your own Ads Manager.

07What happens when someone responds to an ad?

Depends what the ad was published for. You pick one of three on the publish screen: bookings, awareness or profile visits.

A bookings ad — the default, and the one most people run — ends in a calendar booking, where the person picks a time and lands on your calendar, or in a lead capture that takes their details for you to follow up. Which of the two depends on what you said in the intake conversation. Never a vague “message me.” Awareness and profile visits buy reach and followers instead — they book nobody, and the app says so.

08What kinds of businesses does it work for?

Any business that gets new customers through leads, estimates, or consultations — the kind where a person shows up and does the work, and where trust in that person is what wins the job. That is the default: ads that end in a booking or a lead.

A business that does not book anyone — a restaurant is the usual example — is not turned away. The machine runs brand awareness or Instagram follower growth for it instead, and says plainly that those book nobody. What it will not do is pretend to take reservations.

The demo on the homepage carries seven example industries, but the machine reads any local market: it works from a live library of the ads actually running in local industries. Almost every new customer’s market has to be built, and the machine starts building it the moment the conversation names your trade and your area — usually about fifteen minutes. It tells you plainly that it is in progress rather than pretending it was instant, and it is waiting next time you open the app.

09Who is it not for yet?

Medical. MeMachine does not serve medical or HIPAA-adjacent businesses right now — doctors, clinics, anything built on clinical care or patient records. That is a deliberate hold, not a technical limit: patient privacy deserves a properly built process, and until one exists we would rather say no than wing it. It is a “not yet,” not a never.

If your business sits near that line — a med spa, a dental office — the machine flags it during your intake conversation and a person makes the call. You get a straight answer before money changes hands, not after.

10I am terrible on camera. Will this work?

Honestly? Sometimes the worse you are on camera, the better. It reads as more genuine, more real — and a little nervousness shows people there is an actual human on the other end, which builds trust. Polish is what people scroll past.

If you can read, you are going to do great. If you can read and look at the camera, you are going to do great — that is genuinely all it takes. The teleprompter feeds you one line at a time, in your own words, you can retake any line, and the machine edits out the pauses and the fumbles.

11What do I actually have to do?

Four things. Talk for about twenty minutes, once. Film for about ten minutes an ad, on your phone — an hour if you sit down and film all six at once. Say yes to the ads and set a budget. Show up to the appointments the ads book. Everything else — reading the market, writing, editing, publishing, booking — is the machine’s job.

12Does it run ads anywhere besides Meta?

Not yet. Today the machine publishes to Meta — Facebook and Instagram — because that is where local service ads earn their keep and where the machine can read your whole competitive market. Other platforms may come later; we would rather say “not yet” than pretend.

13Is there a mobile app?

Not yet. MeMachine runs in the browser, including on your phone — which is where the guided filming happens, since your phone’s camera is the camera. A native app is on the roadmap but is not something you can download today.

14Is this a replacement for a marketing agency?

No — and we say that with a straight face, because the founder still runs one. At a later stage of growth, paying professionals to film your ads and manage everything with human hands is genuinely the right call. MeMachine is for the stage before that: owners starting out, solo operators, and trades whose margins can carry ad spend but not agency production. The longer version is on the About page.

15How do I cancel, and what happens to my stuff?

Cancel from your account page, any month. Within the first 7 days, cancelling means nothing is ever charged. And because the ads run on your Meta ad account, the campaigns, footage, and audience history stay yours after you go. For what happens to your data, see the privacy policy and data deletion pages.

STILL UNANSWERED? A person reads it. Usually the founder.
